In April 2025 the second stage of the app was launched - Stories Behind the Stones - unveiling 106 stories from historical cemeteries in Ivanhoe, Wilcannia, Menindee and White Cliffs.

The Central Darling Shire contains a significant collection of beautiful heritage buildings, friendly locals, and stunning natural surrounds. 

The Central Darling Heritage Trail app allows people to immerse themselves in the heritage of Wilcannia, White Cliffs, and Menindee. 

The information relating to these towns is presented in three comprehensive modules. Within each module is an embedded podcast designed to be listened to on approach to each town. This is accompanied by a pocket history, a great selection of historic photographs, and welcome videos from the locals. 

Within each tour there are numerous stops, focusing on heritage buildings and other sites of importance to the local communities. Many of the stops feature videos of the locals talking about their heritage, in their own voice.
All information within the app is presented as text and audio files, making it accessible to all. 

The platform is location aware, and GPS tagged, meaning that information for each stop arrives on your screen as you move within range. Most importantly, for such remote areas, the app can be downloaded at home and used where there is little to no mobile phone range.
